Sweet & Sour Red Cabbage (serves 8) From "The Joys of Israel" 1 Shredded medium red cabbage 2 lrg Grated apples 3/4 cup Water 1 tsp Salt 2 tbs Sugar 2 tbs Margerine Cook cabbage, apples, water & salt in large saucepan over low heat for 15mins. Mix flour and vinegar until smooth and add to the cabbage with the sugar and margarine. Cook for a further 20mins. Yellow currants are sultanas and can be added if and as desired.
